Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W3 Camera: Fuji Price and Features

The Fujifilm FinePix Real 3d W3 Camera is the follow up to the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3d W1 Camera which never hit American markets. It's the second generation with some cool improvements.

I was lucky enough to get a nice demo of the previous Fuji 3d camera when my brother decided to buy one and show it off to me. The 3D camera takes awesome 3D pictures and amazing 3D videos. Having a 3D video camera is the most amazing part about it.

Luckily the newer and improved version will be released and sold on merchant sites in the U.S. such as Amazon.com in September 2010. Previously, you had to buy straight from Japan where the Real 3D W1 and the Fuji 3D W3 are produced. This opening to the U.S. market should bring a more 3D picture and video shooting to the average person.

The upgrades included in the FinePix Real 3D W3 include a larger 3D display, HD 3D video shooting, and an HDMI output to view your 3D photos and videos on your 3D television. There is a ton of potential for the Fuji Real 3D W3 to be the preferred 3D video camera for Youtube videos.

Larger 3D Display

The 3D display in the W1 is 2.8 inches, but the newer model W3 boasts a 3.5 display. The extra size will make the already awesome 3D display more impressive. One of the greatest things about the display is that you don't have to wear glasses to view the 3D. You can review your pictures like any other digital camera, only you see everything in 3D. Parallax control allows you to perfect the 3D effect minimizing ghosting.

Make 3D Movies for YouTube

Youtube recently added a tag system where you can upload your 3D video file and the tag allows the user to choose the 3D viewing options such as anaglyph, cross eye, or parallel. There are already hundreds of 3D videos on Youtube, and 3D will soon become the new standard for the internet video site. Get in on the fun and novelty before everyone has 3D cameras. Eventually people will have 3D camera phones and will be shooting 3D video on the go and viewing the 3D movies on their phones.

HDMI Output to 3D T.V.

The W1 has the ability to plug straight into your 3D ready T.V. to show your friends all your 3D pictures and videos. This is another huge upgrade from the older Fujifilm Finepix Real 3D W1. The immediate gratification of viewing a large screen version of your 3D videos will make this 3D camera a blast. The ability to take HD 3D videos will make it even more awesome when plugged into a large 3D T.V.  This is the first HD3D video camera.

Currently the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W3 Camera's price is a five hundred dollars, which is much cheaper than the previous model has been going for. This makes the newer improved version the easy decision. There's really no point in getting the old one which you'd have to buy from Japan anyway.  $500.00 is a likely a low introductory price that may rise once these puppies start selling.  These could be the 2010 hot selling Christmas items.

The Aiptek 3D-HD Camcorder is a newer and cheaper alternative to the higher priced Fuji W3. It's picture quality is definitely not going to be the same high quality as the W3, but it does have a purpose. If you want to take 3D videos for YouTube, then the Aiptek 3D camera will do the trick. It is much like a Flip camera that has 3d capabilities.

You can shoot in 3D or 2D mode, so there's no reason to have a separate 2D Flip camera. The price is much cheaper for the Aiptek if you are planning on shooting for YouTube, and the video files will likely be easier for you to edit and upload that from the Fuji W3. This is a definite benefit if you are wanting to shoot and upload on the fly without using some major editing software.
