Fireworks Pictures - - Free Images, Photos

Pictures enhance hubs, making them more interesting, especially contributing to the layout of the hub. I have had a tough time finding free pictures to use for hubs, so I have been taking my own. I want to make sure that I am not using other people’s pictures without their permission. This takes extra time that I don’t want to spend. I am hoping that we can create a network of hubs where we share pictures for hubs with each other.

I have pulled out some pictures from my own collection to share with fellow hubbers that may be useful. You have my permission to use these pictures for your hubs. Things to keep in mind:

1. When making your hub, check the box that allows the original picture to be viewed
2. This will possibly increase traffic to your hubs
3. You can only upload 8mb at a time and 16mb total
4. It’s the nice thing to do
5. Your mother will be proud of you

When you are going to try taking pictures of fireworks, there are a few things that you must do in order to get good pictures:

1. Set your camera's shutter speed to slow:  Setting the shutter speed to slow means you will get more light into the camera for a longer period of time.  This enables you to get the trailing light effect, and it the fireworks will look bright.
   
2. Keep your digital camera still: You need to keep your camera as still as possible because you have set a slow shutter speed on your camera, thus your camera will take a longer time to let light in.  If you move at all, you will get a blurry mess for a picture.  Use a tripod if you have one, and if not, then hold your camera against something like a wall or your car to steady it.
   
3. Time your picture just right: Timing can be difficult with fireworks because the exist for only a short flash.  By the time you see the explosion of color and you snap your picture, you are probably too late to get what you just saw happen.  So, you need to guess when the explosion will happen.  You can sort of get an idea by listening for the "boom" and watching for the upward moving glow.  The other thing you can keep in mind is to snap as many pictures as you can, and you will get lucky sometimes.  Then just delete the horrible fireworks pictures from you computer or digital camera memory.

These are the main ingredients to taking awesome fireworks pictures.  There may be more that you might want to investigate, but for an average person, these tips will do the trick.
