Buy Esteban Guitars On Amazon - - As Seen On TV

As a guitar player of over ten years, I frequently laughed at the sight of Esteban selling his guitars on t.v. Esteban guitar commercials were almost as funny as a Saturday Night Live sketch. I and my college roommate laughed at the idea of playing a guitar that you can buy from an infomercial. I can't lie, I still think it's a little funny how Esteban promotes his guitars on T.V. and online. This guy appears to be doing well. One of his newer models is a Camaro guitar. He actually went into partnership with Chevrolet to build these "hugger red and gun metal" racing striped guitars.

I wonder to myself what the future of Esteban's guitar company will be. It seems that he is doing well, but I never see his guitars in Sam Ash or Guitar Center. In fact, you can't even buy the guitars on the Guitar Center website. Who knows, maybe one day his guitars will be taken seriously by guitar professionals, players, and retailers. All it will take for that to happen is a trend. For example, Esteban isn't cool enough all by himself to get his guitars selling like newspapers. If a counterculture musician gets ahold of one of these guitar gems and decides to make it his or her signature guitar, then it will be a piece of cake for Esteban. So, you heard it first here. Move over Martin, Gibson, Taylor, ect. Hello Esteban guitars.

If you watch Esteban selling his "beautiful, amazing guitars you get the idea that he is having to sell one of his own children. I would feel bad taking the guitar out of his hands if I bought the very guitar he was playing. This guy is quite a salesman who knows how to appeal to beginners. Who knows if they are great or pieces of junk? I trust him either way, just because of the way he talks about his Esteban Guitars.

Of course Esteban guitars are also available on Amazon.com or Esteban's website, but it seems that the prices are a little lower on Amazon. You can check out any of the Amazon capsule links on this hub to find out more about the guitars.

Esteban especially appeals to the beginner guitarist by throwing in a few extras. For example, he throws in a chord chart, picks, strings, guitar strap, gig bag, or even a guitar lesson DVD to help you start learning guitar and getting started right when you open the box. Esteban knows that there are many people wanting to learn how to play guitar who want some help getting started. Most people don't want to spend too much on their first guitar, want a little help, and don't trust the guitar salesmen at the guitar store. Or it's just easier to order a guitar off of the television or Amazon.com than actually going to the store or asking someone who actually plays to help.

I don't suggest buying any guitar without borrowing one for a few days to a few weeks to test to see if you really want to learn how to play. So many people buy a guitar because they like the idea of playing guitar, when they don't have what it takes to learn a few chords. If you do, however, put some hours of playing in on your buddy's guitar. Then it's time to get your own. Then you can make a better decision of whether you really need or want a guitar.

So the big question is are you the type of person who would buy one of these special Estaban guitars. The answer for me, knowing what I know now, is no. I would not buy one even if I didn't already have too many acoustic guitars. If Esteban is a real guitar player, which he is, then he probably is insisting on some level of quality, but until I play one myself I don't totally trust him. I wouldn't buy his guitar amp ever, but I might buy a guitar if I tried it first. I am sure the amps are not very good. If you're a beginner, you don't need an amp anyway.  I would probably buy the Esteban Camaro Legend Guitar Package if I were to buy any of them, only because it has the best shot at being high quality.  Camaro wouldn't want to smudge their brand name otherwise.

The following reviews are taken from Amazon.com but as a guitar player myself seem to be reasonable:

1. "You may wish to upgrade the gig bag and strap" - I believe this because guitar packages generally come with the cheapest of gig bags and straps, unless you are buying a guitar for $700.00.

2. "You saved us a lot of running around" - This sounds like a parent who doesn't want to bother with taking the kid to the guitar store, even if that would be better.  Especially since it's titled: Happy 18th birthday.

3. "The nut is so cheap and to low so we have to replace them in order for the guitar to play correctly." I believe descriptive bad feedback.  Details were given about how this father had to fix the guitar to make is playable.  If you don't know what the nut is, don't worry.  It is an important part that the strings rest on, so you need a good nut.

If you are looking to buy your first guitar, you probably don't know where to look. You should read up on buying a guitar before going to the store and picking a pretty color. You will want a good guitar once you learn how to play, so you will want to get the best beginner guitar you can afford.

In addition you may want some guitar accessories that make playing guitar a little easier. Changing strings and tuning are two basic things you will spend time doing. You might want to learn to help yourself maintain your instrument less so you can play more.
